details for nerds: i was using minio, which, if you're into open source like i am, rug-pulled their licensing and open source status in december 2025. so the version i had was no longer supported for regular self-hosting nerds like me. i decided i didn't want to self-host S3 again, because minio kinda sucked, so i decided to just pay for an S3 provider.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;

i settled on &lt;a href="https://www.tigrisdata.com/"&gt;tigris&lt;/a&gt; because it's one of few options i know of that aren't AWS/amazon, or absurdly expensive for my use-case. so far so good; we have like, under 500 files in the bucket for this site, so i doubt it'll cost me more than like $5 at most. but fingers crossed it stays like that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="https://www.love4eva.net/tools/commentcount?user=news&amp;ditemid=1918" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/&gt; comments</content>
